Modals of Deduction (Present)
'He must be tired — he has been working for 12 hours.' No es obligación; es una conclusión lógica. En español equivale a 'debe de ser'.
Los modales MIGHT, MAY y COULD expresan posibilidad: el hablante no está seguro, pero es posible. 'She might be at home' significa 'quizás esté en casa'.
'He can't be a doctor — he's only 18.'
Y para el aspecto continuo: MODAL + BE + V-ing ('She must be sleeping'). Para el pasado: MODAL + HAVE + PAST PARTICIPLE ('He must have left').
Certeza (+): SUJETO + MUST + VERB BASE
Posibilidad: SUJETO + MIGHT/MAY/COULD + VERB BASE
Imposibilidad: SUJETO + CAN'T + VERB BASE
Continuo: MODAL + BE + VERB-ing
'She must be sleeping.'
'They might be waiting outside.'Debugging lab
