Some / Any

some y any con sustantivos contables e incontables

En inglés, esa función la cumplen 'some' y 'any'.

La regla básica: 'some' aparece en oraciones afirmativas ('I have some milk.') y 'any' aparece en oraciones negativas e interrogativas ('I don't have any milk.' / 'Do you have any milk?'). Piénsalo como un interruptor: afirmativo → some, negativo/pregunta → any.

Would you like some tea?', 'Can I have some water?').

Otro error frecuente es omitir 'some'/'any' con sustantivos incontables y plurales.

Uso especial: 'any' en oraciones afirmativas significa 'cualquier(a)' ('Any student can join the club.'
