Reported Questions
Preguntas indirectas: He asked me where...
Imagina que las preguntas directas son como llamadas a funciones con return values. Reported questions son como包装 esas llamadas en un callback: cambias la forma de la pregunta, el orden de las palabras, y añades si/no o palabras interrogativas.
El truco principal es que en preguntas directas usas INVERSIÓN (Do you...? / Where is...?), pero en reported questions el orden vuelve a ser SUJETO + VERBO, como en declarativas. Es como si el compilador de inglés reordenara los parámetros.
Si la pregunta directa usa YES/NO (Do you...?), en reported se convierte en IF o WHETHER. Si usa palabras interrogativas (what, where, when, who, how), esas palabras se mantienen como 'conectores'.
SUJETO + VERBO REPORT + (if/whether) + SUJETO + VERBO (orden declarativo) Preguntas YES/NO: Direct: Do you like coffee? Reported: She asked me if I liked coffee. Preguntas con palabra interrogativa: Direct: Where do you live? Reported: He asked me where I lived. Preguntas con WH (sujeto): Direct: Who lives here? Reported: She asked who lived there.
